Assault Survivor Kits Program

Since 1995, kits of clothing (underwear, top, bottom, and slippers) have been provided by  Assistance League Greeley so that victims of assault (often rape victims) have something clean to wear after their visit to the hospital. Local trained law enforcement personnel often need the assault victim's clothes for evidence. Assistance League Greeley works with area hospitals (North Colorado Medical Center and Medical Center of the Rockies) who provide the first   physical examination to assault victims. Prior to Assistance League Greeley providing these kits, assault victims usually had to wear medical scrubs home. Although Assistance League Greeley has no contact with these victims, our hope is that the trauma they experienced has been lessened to some small degree by receiving new, clean clothing to wear home from the hospital.

During 2016-17, 525 articles of clothing were distributed at a cost of $3,056.
